Return Process

Can the additional driver return the vehicle?

Yes, as long as the additional driver has been added to the rental, they may return the car for you.

What do I do if I am returning the car after the locaiton has closed?

Early or Late

If I return the car early, will I receive a refund for the unused portion?

No, you will not receive a refund for the unused portion of your rental. However, you are welcome to return your vehicle early.

What happens if I return the vehicle late?

In most cases, returns less than 29 minutes late will not be charged extra hours. Returns 30 minutes late or later will be charged extra. A late return of 1 hour 30 minutes or more will usually result in charge of another day. Please note if you are returning to a closed location, all charges will continue to accrue until the location reopens for business.

What if I’m unable to return my rental due to having to catch a flight?

Please Contact Dollar for 24-hour emergency Roadside Assistance as soon as possible at +502 3274-4400. You may be responsible for all vehicle recovery expenses if you prefer to leave the vehicle in place and have Dollar dispatch a towing service to retrieve it.
